iThirst

Spiritual Companions for individuals and families struggling with addiction

Faith-Based Support for Addiction Recovery

iThirst is an initiative of the Missionary Servants of the Holy Trinity. The program recognizes that addiction is not only a physical and mental health issue, but also a spiritual malady. By providing faith-based, compassionate confidential guidance, spiritual friendship, education, local resources and ongoing support and aftercare, trained spiritual companions serve adults recovering from substance use disorder and their families with their spirtuality as a source of hope, healing and purpose.

Recognizing the lack of spiritual care in conventional recovery programs, iTHIRST's training program for Spiritual Companions, accredited through Seton Hall University, fills this gap by creating a network of trainted individuals who provide spiritual companionship for those in recovery in their local area. This focus on spirtual healing addresses our fundamental human need for connection, purpose, and inner peace--which is often neglected in traditional addiction treatment programs.

iTHIRST spiritual companions in the Columbus Diocese are available to meet with you, one-to-one, in person or virtually, according to your needs and schedule.
