A Letter From Fr. Dury
Dear Parishoners,
Our Church, Our Family. We are so grateful for all the gifts you share with us. Here at St. John Neumann, we are creating and nurturing a welcoming community that connects people in Christ Jesus. We’re reflecting on 50 years of blessings, friendships, and shared faith and honoring the generation who built the parish while funding the future for generations to come. As a disciple of Jesus Christ and member of our faith community, thank you for participating in the mission of leading people to a transformative encounter with him. Your presence is essential.
We accomplished a lot this past year, including the strengthening of Family Discipleship, deepening faith and community engagement, investing in parish ministries, enhancing safety and facilities infrastructure while increasing outreach and service outside our walls and there is more we plan to do. We need your support to prepare more people for sacraments and initiation into the Church; to support vocations, marriages and families; repair and maintain our aging facilities while planning for future growth and welcoming and engaging all of parishioners in their Catholic faith. As you encounter Jesus, I’m sure you will want to share your own story and invite others into communion with us. I am asking you to support this vision as well as participate in these transformative opportunities of encounter of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
To fulfill this mission and purpose, I ask you to consider your gift of financial support to the parish offertory. We also would like to learn from you how our parish is helping to connect you to Christ and others. To help us plan and steward our parish resources, please return the enclosed pledge card and enroll in or increase your online giving at saintjohnsunbury.org/give. It also helps us to serve you better when you are registered in the parish and give in an identifiable way. You may direct questions to our parish Stewardship Director, Jackie Sutton at 740-965-1358 x123 or jsutton@stjohnsunbury.org.
Thank you in advance for your prayerful participation in building a community of faith. As your pastor, I pray you each have a transformative encounter with Jesus Christ.
You are in my prayers,
Reverend Dan Dury
Shepherd, St. John Neumann
